World Parkinson's Day April 11th,2025
Every year, individuals and organizations around the world recognize April 11 as World Parkinson’s Day. April 11th marks the birthday of Dr. James Parkinson, the British physician who wrote An Essay on the Shaking Palsy, the first paper to describe Parkinson’s disease in detail.








On April 11, 2025, join us at Celebration Square, Mississauga City Hall, For the Sit to Stands challenge. The Sit to Stands challenge is a global movement aimed at raising awareness and support for people living with Parkinson’s disease. We will also have our “Light up Canada for World Parkinson’s Day”
